Definition

Procedure text is a type of text in English that contains objectives and steps to create or do something related to these objectives. The function of this text is to show how to do something through sequential steps so that the reader can fill the content.

Generic Structure of Procedure Text

1. Aim/Goal

Set in the title text and is used to indicate the purpose of the text.

Example: How to Make Noodle

2.Ingredient/ materials

Contains the materials or tools required in the steps of carrying out the process.

Example: The materials to make an omelet are egg, onion, vegetable oil, salt, and pepper.

3.Steps / methods

Contains ways, methods, or steps taken to achieve the goals in the text.

Example: First, wash the tomatoes. Then cut it into slices.

How To Make Banana Cake

Material:

4 ripe bananas

200 Gram all-purpose flour

250 Sugar

250 grams of vegetable oil

4 Chicken eggs

1 teaspoon SP / TBM

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

How to make roasted banana sponge:

1. Beat chicken eggs, sugar, SP, and baking powder with a high-speed mixer until white.

2. Gradually add the flour, vegetable oil, and crushed banana. Stir again until well blended.

3. Preheat the oven to 170 degrees Celsius.

4. Grease the pan using cooking oil and pour a little flour. Pour the mixture into it, then bake for 30 minutes.

5. Insert a stick to see if it's done, then remove it from the oven.

6. Cool the banana cake and remove it from the pan, then serve
